Here is the invitation suite designed by the lovely ladies at Posh Paperie- wood grained card stock accented with twine.I was SO excited that we found so many great raw materials to incorporate into the look…large bolts, screws, and odd ball looking metal pieces.

Behind a smile. Behind a “I’m good, how are you??”.  Behind my images even.

I pour my heart and emotion into the images I take, and it’s easy to put them out there and think I’ve put myself out there. I guess I have in a way, because you the viewer could critique my style, not like my angles, or hate how I process… but for the most part it’s pretty safe to put images and not my personal thoughts on this blog.

I have on occasion posted something personal, and wow, I’ve been so blessed by the warm reception my raw emotions and thoughts on subjects has been received. You’d think it would encourage me to do it more… but like I said… I hide.

Well no more. We all need to be REAL with someone. We all need to know that we aren’t the only one struggling, questioning, or hurting.

So here it is… getting REAL.

There are some circumstances in my life that don’t seem very fair right now, and I’ve found myself saying to God, “I am serving you and doing what you ask me to, so why is this happening?” “Why aren’t you holding up your end of this bargain?” “Where are YOU right now?” “Do you care?” and one of my favorites, “This trial is really hindering me from being joyful, and I know you want me to be joyful!”

Yeah… a bit of verbal vomit to God. I believe he appreciates my honesty… but after I’m done spewing my feelings; I HAVE to feed myself truth so that I don’t just sit in a muck of messy feelings.

And enter Jenn Johnson- a songwriter from Bethel, CA.

This song she wrote has ROCKED me lately! I am playing it over and over again, to remind myself the truths about who God is… that He is Faithful, Good, my Rock, Loving, a Shelter, and my Savior… even when I don’t FEEL like He is.
