Yay for today!!!! I can finally post part 2 of Rachel and Jeff’s gorgeous wedding day! We had to hold off until their feature on Style Me Pretty went up; which it did today!

Hello all! We are finally back from our vacation to San Diego, and I’m so pumped to post this wedding! It was featured on Oh Lovely Day a cool DIY wedding blog- be sure to check it out…

Sarah and Jeff are a totally awesome couple! Ever since I shot their downtown Pomona engagement shoot, Sarah and I have been looking forward to their wedding day. They both have younger brothers who were in the high school small group I led at Friends Church, so their were a ton of familiar faces. They were married at the Fullerton Arboretum, and the day couldn’t have been more beautiful!

I am so excited to share today’s gorgeous wedding with you all! Rachel & Jeff are just the cutest couple together! She is one of the sweetest, kindest people you will ever meet, and he is the total strong silent type; but she can alsways bring out his smiles nad laughter. I first got to capture their interaction when we met up for their engagement shoot.

Their amazing day was at the beautiful Fransiscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano with an amazing team of vendors.

Travel Inspired San Juan Capistrano Engagement Photos {Sue & Nico}

A chance meeting on another continent started Sue and Nico’s romance. They met in a hostel in Scotland while both were traveling for different purposes. Sparks flew and they continued the relationship long distance. Her in America and him in Argentina.

We styled their shoot to compliment their interests and the important parts of their story. Enjoy their journey.

We created over 40 paper airplanes out of maps, and we used Sue’s Grandmothers writing desk as the focal point.

I’m a big fan of the flowers spilling out of the book!

Since writing to each other was a big part of their relationship we gathered a bunch of vintage postcards and highlighted those throughout the session,

Love this moment between them.

This might be my favorite shot of the day. Way to go Derek!

Anthropologie for Brides!

Sometimes I wish I was planning a wedding now, rather than 8 years ago at the height of traditionalism… red roses, big cupcake dresses, black tuxes, and raw silk. Yeah… not so unique and stylish. But now anything goes, and even more so… It’s stylish to be unique and un-traditional. So when I heard that Anthropologie was launching a bridal line, I was ecstatic for my brides! So to all of you planning a wedding out there, hurry over and check out all the gorgeousness!! BHLDN

Here are some pretty inspirations from their Moodboard section. It is a great thing for you as a bride to do too… Pull all the things you like, and mix and match til you come up with your ideal wedding day pallet.

I’m loving the combo of mustard yellow and periwinkle in this board. Especially love the idea on the top right of having all the bridesmaids in different attire. Also, loving that cuff on the bottom right.

This one is just bursting with fun color! I love the yellow dress and the fun corral one as well! Definitely sure to be a bright and lively day with a color scheme like this!

This board is so soft and romantic! I absolutely love that hair piece on the bottom left and the soft flowy fabric next to it… this is a great feel for a romantic and serene wedding vibe.

The combo of mustard and navy caught my eye in this one! It’s nautical and fun. Loving the ruffly bow cover up in the bottom middle; and the cream number above it is gorgeous!

Ok enough being distracted for me; got to get back to work! If you make a mood board please share it! I’d love to see what you all come up with! I know I will be back to browse more and make a mood board of my own!
