A Sweetheart Party! {Josephine’s 1st B-day}

From day one I began a little Sweetheart theme with Josephine… from her newborn shoot to her birth announcement… and since she arrived 2 days after Valentine’s Day… it was fitting.

So I carried that theme on into her 1st Birthday celebration… but, with a little twist. I decided to not go with the classic pink and red color scheme, bu with a springy aqua/mint, peach/coral, and grey scheme. I was beyond blessed by the talented and wonderful friends in the industry who came on board to make her party truly amazing! From vintage rentals, to a ridiculous dessert display, to gorgeous florals, and perfectly crafted tags and banners… it came out better than I had even envisioned it!

I loved this 3 tiered metal table from Found Vintage Rentals. All the food tags, drink flags, signs, and banners were designed by the awesome Blair Britt of Joie de Vie Designs
Great appetizer idea… mini caprese skewers… that I found on Pinterest!  Sandee did such a fabulous job of pulling everything together! We had amazing vintage tables and props from Found, some of my own jars and platters, along with her Apothecary Jars, platters, and accessories. Paper poms which now hang in a cute cluster above Josephine’s crib were purchased off Etsy HERE and HERE. I LOVED how the little ruffle cake turned out! Christi Cakes did such a great job! and I made the mini bunting banner with her name stamped on it as the topper.
Christi made the yummy funfetti and Oreo cupcakes as well! More cute tags designed by Blair! Josephine loved the sweets table too! We had take out boxes with a custom sticker on them for guest to load up and take sweets home!
Cute table and teal kitchen scale from Found Amber did a great job putting together the beautiful floral arrangements all in mason jars and vases she spray painted white.

She was such a HUGE help in pulling it all together the day of! Some of the kiddos having some photo booth fun! Large bean bag toss, and tic-tac-toe boards that my handy hubby made.  I will be taking all the sweet words and notes people wrote for JoJo and making a “Subway” style word art poster for her room. And…cake time! Yeah, she tried to pick up the whole cake… Love this shot Derek captured.

It was such a great day spent with family and friends celebrating our little sweetheart! Thank you SO much to the wonderful women who helped me make this happen, and to our awesome family and friends for helping clean it all up!
