Big Bear with the boys

The jock.

The nerd.

The surfer.

The dancer.

The quiet one.

The hunter.

The other hunter.

The band geek.

The loud one.

And then there was Chris and I…

This past weekend, a friend and I rented a cabin and took 9 of our high school bible study kids up to the mountains for snow, movies, Halo 3, and a bunch of shenanigans.

It was big, blue, and 42- perfect mountain weather.

Day 1 of sledding was pretty mild…

Later on we went for a walk by the lake..

shh-shh-shh, hah-hah-hah…

Mike up close, with his ninja ski mask…

Day 2 of sledding wasn’t quite as forgiving; this jump became known as the “widow maker”…

Witness the carnage:

“I’m probably going to get hurt”, I told myself as I walked up the hill.

Houston we have a problem…

For those of you that felt the earthquake a few days ago…sorry.  That was my fault.

This is me trying NOT to cry like a little girl in front of all my guys- and yes, I’m still sore.  I’m sure the video is up on facebook by now…

All in all, despite the extremely sore back, I had an awesome weekend.  I’m stoked to be able to be a part of these guys lives- they have amazing hearts for the Lord and are going to do great things in this world!
